Case Study - Teanga Ġrá
Teanga Ġrá is a retailer of sustainable, Irish-language art and apparel that reflect a very Irish outlook.
We produced their logo, copy, website, graphic design and merchandising.
Logo, look & feel
Through the process of designing the logo for Teanga Ġrá, we established the personality of the brand or the ‘look & feel.’
That formed the basis for all the design and communications style that followed, incl. the copy, graphic design and website design.
The logo would also have to work on Teanga Ġrá’s merchandise (and packaging), which has since been manafactured and put on sale.
Website
The goal for the website design was to create an aesthetically pleasing eCommerce space that would make the user experience pleasant and free of any friction.
The online shop includes categories of products, shipping rates for over 60 countries worldwide, and different VAT rates for different EU countries.
Also included is information about sustainability and a recently-added blog section.
Copy
It was very important for Teanga Ġrá to communicate in a way that reflected the brand personality in a consistent way.
One of the most interesting challenges was creating copy and a communications style that blended English and Irish together, without causing confusion or frustration.
The positive feedback on the site’s use of Irish and English has been one of the most unexpected and rewarding results from this project.
Merchandise
We worked with Teanga Ġrá to design products, test mockups, and source manufacturers to create scarves and tote bags featuring their brand.
Once the products were received, we provided the product photography services, in a style consistent with the brand personality.
The products are now available on the eCommerce site as well as brick & mortar retailers around the country.
Currently, we are involved in the design of new t-shirts and baseball caps featuring Teanga Ġrá branding and trademarked tag lines.
